WHAT OUR PAINTERS DO

The Painter is responsible for painting and maintaining the park’s structures, rides, and attractions, ensuring they remain visually appealing and in top condition.

The Painter will apply paint and coatings to a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces throughout the park.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic ensuring the park maintains its vibrant atmosphere.

A PAINTERS DAY-TO-DAY

• Must have knowledge of paints, paint applications, and proper disposal procedures
• Operates, clean, and maintains all painting equipment including brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.
• Prepare and clean, sand, prime, seal, and patch surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint on structures, walls, fences, and other park installations ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired shades and finishes. Ensure colors stay true to the park’s design theme and brand.
• Inspect surfaces regularly for signs of wear and tear and apply touchups or full coats of paints as necessary to maintain visual appeal.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with paints, chemicals, and equipment. Ensure proper ventilation and use of protective gear.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Assist with general maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Monitor paint and supplies inventory, alerting supervisors and/or managers

WHAT IT TAKES

• Must be 18 years or older to comply with Child Labor Laws
• Ability to work flexible scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting types.
• Basic understanding of construction and safety procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat for long periods of time
• Ability to remain on foot for majority of the workday
• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more
• Ability to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds and ladders
• Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

• Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
  Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, vibrations, motorized equipment, and exposure to various chemicals

The pay the pay range for this position is $15.00 to $18.00.
